KookiWannaBe is a Jeddah-based kids’ retail store bringing together international fashion and toy brands under one roof. With a growing catalog and a loyal customer base across Saudi Arabia, they needed an e-commerce foundation that could match their brand ambition and support their next phase of growth.
Years on Magento had taken their toll. The platform was unstable, the site went down unpredictably, and the technical support in place wasn’t reliable enough to fix it. Behind the scenes, the product catalog had grown without proper organization — making it hard for customers to find what they were looking for, and hard for the team to manage what they had. The shopping experience felt disjointed, the navigation was confusing, and the design no longer reflected where the brand was headed. The Arabic experience, where it existed at all, felt like an afterthought rather than a genuine part of the store. KookiWannaBe needed more than a patch. They needed a complete rebuild with a partner they could trust.
We moved the entire operation from Magento to Shopify — cleanly and completely. Beyond transferring data, we used the migration as an opportunity to rebuild the catalog properly: establishing product taxonomies, organizing categories, and configuring Shopify’s metafield architecture to support a catalog that could scale without becoming unmanageable again.
We redesigned the site’s navigation from the ground up, building a clear and intuitive mega menu that reflects how KookiWannaBe’s customers actually shop. Every entry point — from broad categories to specific product types — was mapped and organized to reduce friction and make discovery effortless. Advanced filtering was implemented across the catalog, giving shoppers precise control over how they browse and find products.
We designed the full storefront to feel distinctly KookiWannaBe. The result is a shopping experience that carries the brand’s playful, premium identity across every page — far from anything templated.
We delivered the full store in both English and Arabic — not as a translation layer bolted on at the end, but as a deliberate, fully considered part of the build. Every page, every product, every piece of navigation was localized to ensure the Arabic experience is as polished and functional as the English one. Right-to-left layout, accurate copy, and consistent UI behavior across both languages. We continue supporting KookiWannaBe with ongoing translation and content localization as the store evolves.
Since launch, we’ve been the team behind the scenes keeping the store sharp. Seasonal homepage revamps, campaign execution, product management, merchandising updates, and a steady stream of new features — from a loyalty program and cross-selling tools to advanced shipping and product discovery enhancements. Nearly two years in, the work continues.
KookiWannaBe now runs on a stable, well-organized Shopify store that reflects their brand and supports their growth. The platform that was once a liability has become an asset — and our partnership keeps building on it, season after season.
